This Russian Shaska is a special kind of sabre and has blade made of High Carbon steel,not Tempered and not Sharpened.It has full tang blade with handle of Wood. It is battle ready and comes with a scabbard of real Leather with wooden core & real brass fittings.
The sword of the famed Cossacks and later adopted by the cavalry of the Soviet Union, the sweeping blade of the Shasqa is eminently suited for slashing cuts from horseback. The long fuller reduces weight and the thick spine of the single-edged blade ensures that it strikes home with considerable force.
