Roman Frying Pan (Tinned)

Roman Frying Pan (Tinned)

Roman Frying Pan

Frying pans are ceramic objects of unknown purpose from the archaeological strata called Early Cycladic II in the Aegean Islands and the Early Helladic I and II elsewhere in the Aegean.
The Roman Legion on their long marches for their Roman empire legionnaires carried not only their weapons with them, they also had to carry their own provisions and cooking utensils. The best known cooking utensils are a deep frying pan “patera” and a cooking pot “situla”. Authentic Roman Cooking Pan (Patera) made of tinned brass with ornamentation.
