Medieval Swallowtail Barbed Broadhead Arrowhead
SKU: AH3522.13This arrowhead follows the swallowtail barbed broadhead pattern, similar to London Museum Type 14 and Jessop hunting type H3.
Its sharply cutting, curved barbs were designed to maximise tissue damage and bleeding, making it a genuine hunting specialist’s head for medium to large game such as boar and deer, ensuring the arrow stayed lodged as the animal fled. Finds of this type date to the 13th through 15th centuries.
