The Heater Shield first emerged in the medieval period, evolving from the larger kite shield as advancements in head and leg armor allowed for a more compact design. Named for its resemblance to the shape of a traditional flat iron, the Heater Shield became a symbol of the knightly class.
Our Knight’s Heater Shield is crafted from 10mm thick wood and features adjustable leather straps and a cushioned arm pad for comfort. The blank canvas facing and edging are ready for you to customize with your chosen insignia—be it the cross of the Templars, the colors of the Hospitallers, or your personal coat of arms.
