Norman Conquest Sword

The Norman sword was not just a weapon but a symbol of the early Medieval Normans of their dominance, discipline, and craftsmanship. These swords, with their long, elegant blades and distinctive hilts, were carried by soldiers whose skill and bravery reshaped the course of medieval Europe. Equally fitting for the early Medieval Normans and a later-period Viking design, reflecting the shared lineage between the two traditions.

This design is equally fitting for the early Medieval Normans and a later-period Viking design, reflecting the shared lineage between the two sword-making traditions — the Normans, after all, were themselves descended from Viking settlers in northern France before their 1066 conquest of England.
