The surcoat was worn over armour by Crusading knights, and for the Knights Templar specifically, marked with their distinctive cross, identifying members of the order on campaign and in battle.
This reproduction is made from single-colour cotton, a practical garment reflecting the surcoat’s genuine dual role of protecting armour from sun and rain while displaying an order’s or individual’s identity.
Deepeeka’s reproduction recreates that historic Templar garment, part of our historical clothing range.
