Descripion: The handles and the top and bottom of the scabbard are made of bone covered with iron. This iron facing has pierced decoration so that the bone shows through.

Historical Period: 6th-5th century BC. Greek hoplite sword probably adopted from the Etruscans

Inspiration: This style sword was found in the necropolis of Alfedena, Italy, 6th century BC
