The Gothic style marks a distinctive late Medieval European aesthetic, characterised by elongated, elegant lines and often paired with the longsword — a form intended for use with both hands, allowing thrusts, cuts, and parries within a single versatile design. The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, England, holds the UK’s national collection of historic armour and military equipment, a collection that traces its roots back to the Tower of London before the museum’s purpose-built home opened at Leeds Dock in 1996; several longswords in the Gothic style are held and displayed there, informing this style of reproduction.

This was Deepeeka’s earlier Gothic bastard sword, since superseded by an updated model (AH7043) with a refined blade profile.
