Folding Greaves
A greave (from the Old French grève “shin, shin armour” from the Arabic jaurab, meaning stocking[1]) is a piece of armour that protects the leg.
Historical Period: Hoplite warriors wore bronze greaves as leg protection
These set of hinged greaves with additional knee armor are crafted from 18 gauge steel; the hinged knee plate gives protection for the knee whilst allowing for a wide range of movement. The armor is fitted to the leg with a set of adjustable antiqued brass buckles and leather straps.
