The five-lobed pommel is a distinctive Viking Age hilt form, one of several lobed variations — three-lobed, five-lobed, seven-lobed among them — that Norse smiths used to mark a sword owner’s status and personal taste. Petersen’s own typology of Viking swords catalogues dozens of such lobed-pommel variants recovered across Scandinavia, each a small but telling signature of the smith or the warrior who commissioned it.

Deepeeka recreates this striking pommel form as part of our Viking heritage range.

Its blunted edges make it a practical choice for living history groups, alongside collectors drawn to its distinctive silhouette.
