Medieval Crossbow with Tackle

A crossbow is a type of weapon based on the bow, consisting of a horizontal bow-like assembly, or prod, mounted on a stock and shooting projectiles called bolts or quarrels. The medieval crossbow was known by many regional names, most derived from the word ballista, the torsion siege engine it visually resembled.

This model comes complete with tackle, the belt hook and pulley system historically used to help draw a heavier crossbow prod. Note that this version comes without a crannequin or loader, both sold separately.
