Brass and bronze hilts on Falcatas appear across the archaeological record of ancient Iberia — from the Almedinilla cemetery in Córdoba to the Cabré catalogue of Spanish Iron Age weapons. The choice of brass for the hilt elevated the Falcata beyond a purely functional weapon into an object of display and personal identity, the metalwork reflecting the skilled bronze-casting tradition of Celtiberian craftspeople.

The EN45 high carbon steel blade of this version features a single fuller running along the spine — the same functional feature found across Falcata types, reducing weight while maintaining the structural integrity needed for the powerful downward cuts the Falcata was designed to deliver. The 18-gauge construction provides the robustness expected of a working replica.

    Bowie Knife, Horn Handle

    The Bowie knife is a pattern of fixed-blade fighting knife that takes its name from Jim Bowie, who became famous for using a large knife of this kind in an 1827 duel known as the Sandbar Fight.

    That incident, on a Mississippi River sandbar near Natchez, cemented Bowie’s reputation and, within a few years, established “Bowie knife” as the name for the broad-bladed fighting and utility knives that became genuinely popular across the 19th-century American frontier. This version is finished with a horn handle, characterised by a large, broad blade.
